How do you populate the competitor list?

We use the competitor domains with the highest organic overlap with your keywords. The overlap % is how many of your keywords is each competitor ranking for organically.

While these may not be seen as traditional competitors, a high organic overlap means you are competing for the same queries and potentially have more to gain from seeding the queries they are appearing against.
