I have the 'Shared library limit hit' alert, what do I need to do?

If you have hit the Google Ads shared library limit (20 lists) it means Squared.io can't create any new lists (for routing negatives for example). To resolve this:

  • Unused and duplicate lists can be removed.
  • If there are any lists that you apply to all campaigns you can consolidate these in the 'Negatives' section of Squared.io and the old list be removed (more on Squared.io negatives here). All keywords in this list will be applied to all campaigns now and in the future. N.b. Agency, group, and client negatives will be consolidated in your Google Ads shared libraries to help limit list usage!
  • If you have activated the 'routing negatives' automation, any cross match negative lists can be removed - as we will be covering this for you.

How many lists Squared.io needs to create depends on:
  • Which features you are using (routing negatives, negatives for paused exact match keywords, client negatives and brand negatives).
  • Your account targeting. The number of 'routing negatives' and 'paused queries' lists we create depends on your targeting (and if there is actually a misrouting or paused queries problem). For these automations, we only apply negatives to campaigns which have the same targeting (Geo, Demographic, Audience, Device). For example, we might create one routing negatives list for campaigns targeting the UK, and one routing negatives list for campaigns targeting RLSA.
