Protect: Placements

Brand safety is a key consideration for any business, so it's always important to ensure you are not appearing in the wrong places when advertising online. Placements by Squared.io surfaces the video, website and app placements you’re serving ads on across relevant campaign types and allows you to exclude them with a single click.
Each placement is assigned a risk score - calculated using ChatGPT - to review placement content to help you to quickly identify low-quality or potentially harmful placements.
Risk score is an AI generated score which assesses the brand safety of placements based upon the content of the placement, origin and quality of content, comments and reviews. For app and website placements we look at negative reviews regarding intrusive or excessive ads as well.
Use the Minimum risk score slider to quickly surface placements deemed the highest risk to brand safety. You can also apply filters for:
  • Placement: search for keywords that appear in content you dont want to be associated with
  • Type: Filter for mobile app, website or video placements only
  • Made for kids: Whether the placement is aimed at children, as this is typically poor performing
  • Campaign types: Is the placement being bought through Pmax, Demand Gen, etc.
  • Recency: Filter to placements that have been used in the last X number of days (default 60 days)
 
As well as a risk score and the reasoning, you'll find information about the placement in the table. Where possible you'll find content screenshots, impressions (additional performance metrics available for DemandGen and YouTube), as well as when you last appeared on the placement.
By hovering over the risk score, you'll also get a reason for the score, detailing why it has been given a low or high Risk score.
 
Use the 'exclude' button to add the placement to your account level exclusions in Google Ads. Hitting 'ignore' will remove the placement from the view.
