When Squared syncs with an account it breaks all the targeting down into what we call "Targeting Groups". These are the unique sets of targeting in your account. Targeting can include demographics, location, language, device and audiences.
The reason we use targeting groups is to allow adding of queries to different sets of targeting. For example, if you have split your campaigns by device you would want the same keyword in your mobile, desktop and tablet campaigns and they are not considered duplicates.
You can see the targeting groups live in your account by going to Targeting. In this section you will be able to see a breakdown of targeting, and how many campaigns and ad groups belong to each group.
