# What do app exclusions do?

Use the app exclusions to exclude all apps or individual categories that could be resulting in wasted spend across relevant campaign types - excluding 'games for kids' / 'family games' to prevent accidental clicks for example.

App exclusions apply to applicable campaign types where your ads as shown in-app (Performance Max display ads appearing aps for example).

The app exclusions are applied directly to your content suitability settings in Google Ads.
