# What does the Max Bid// Avg CPC column in the Add Queries Tool refer to?

The Max Bid ("2.57" in the example below) is the highest bid from the keywords that triggered the query. If auction time bidding is used, this value will be the query's average CPC.

The Avg CPC ("3.84" in the example below") is the recommended bid from Google.
