Why are there less queries in the Add Queries tool compared to what is available in Google Ads reports?
The Add Queries tool shows fewer queries than Google Ads because it pre-filters out queries based on activity volume and whether or not the keyword already exists. This is by design, to surface the queries that require action first and not clutter the view with items that don't require action.
It is intended to be an actionable part of the platform rather than a reporting function. The idea is to use it to add relevant queries in order to influence customer journeys, or to add negative keywords to prevent irrelevant queries from triggering your ads.
If you want to view the raw data, you can use the Missing Queries penalty report in the Audience section.
